Raito didn’t get stupider, he just got cocky. There’s a difference between the two. It’s a horrible way to end it, but it’s still a good show.

Great series, although I wanted Light to win…We think alike in some things like eradicating evil from the world.

Well the problem with the ending is that you only have light to want to win. In the begining L and light were great rivals and you wanted them both to win. Not nocking Near but L was really cool. The ending did match the seris though. L and Light RULE!!!!!!

Well… The ending was a fitting ending to the anime. I have to say, Raito (Light) had a good idea, ridding the world of evil, but he just…. went about it in the wrong way. The ends do not justify the means. Anyhow, kinda sucks L died so quickly, but what happens happens no matter what the fans say. But indeed, this was an anime I’m sad is over, but then again, all things have an end, although I do wish this one went on a bit longer, but again, what happens happens.

Light died the way he had to, there was no way that Light could’ve won, that would suck and everything would’ve been for nothing.
Ls death was the worst, but it was a good thing for the anime, I mean, it was something noone expected to happen.
N is like the son of L, it’s kind of Ls resurrection, so it was perfect. Just loved it.

Oh wow. That was a great, but terribly sad ending. The music was so moving. I wish it wasn’t over.

Well L was right. They both…hate to lose.

Well….thats the end of Kira….but one thing is puzeling me….What will hapen to the world that Light created and mainteined now that he is gone?????

Huh. I was so sure that I hated Light after L’s death, but I really felt bad for the guy here. He just looked so… broken and defeated. L was right when he said Kira is childish despite his intelligence. He wanted to make a perfect world, but ended up spawning chaos. He wanted to bring peace, but only destruction came. In the end, he gave up everything for his dream that never came true. I think this is a beautiful, if a little sad, ending for this series, though I do wish it went into more detail about the characters’ lives and the state of the world after Light’s death.

Personally I thought the ending was superb. Besides, has anyone thought wad would happen if Light won? Where would the serries go from there?
Anyway I think its kinda lame that all of a sudden there are 2 geniuses that popped out of nowhere and beat Light during the last 10 episodes of the serries. Its almost as though the writer was like ” There! L’s dead. HAHAH. Hang on.. erm..geee.. Where do I go from here? Crap… I KNOW! I will make up 2 characters from nowhere! Hope nobody notices….”

The only issue I have with this is the open-ending we are left with for Misa. She says herself that she could never live in a world without Light, but how could she have possibly known about his death? There was no time gap between the scenes. All in all, this was a really fantastic series, and I don’t think Light lost his touch at all. He certainly didn’t become “stupid”. He lost because of Mikami’s error, and in the moment when he is cornered, he panics. This is a natural response. Although he begins to insist on how he will become a God, at this moment, I think it’s the most human we’ve ever seen Light. I loved the idea of breaking him down (not out of sadism, I love Light) and I can’t picture the series ending any other way.

I was really pulling for Light. And it sucks that he died. I am sad now. I mean you always know that the badguy (technically he was the badguy)loses in the end. But they made his character one that people could relate to and love. I wish L wouldn’t have died but it gives you hope that light would have been the winner in the end. Simply an amazing anime.

He knew that light would’ve survived the wounds so he decided to kill him on the spot ‘cuz he didn’t want to wait for Light to die in prison.

Light got lazy since “L” died. He got too comfortable with not having any obstacles, and in the end got way too cocky.

If you read the manga it shows that Misa moved on and became a leader in this Kira Worshipping cult/sect that believes Kira will come back.

Mikami’s death was pathetic in the manga he is arrested and dies 10 days later probably from insanity. Oh and then he like backstabs light by saying light is pathetic and isn’t his god anymore. Light is killed right there in the same room by Ryuk. Oh and I actually laughed when Matsuda shot Light, Hah go Matsuda!

It was an amazing anime and the neding fitted well. As light runs off next to that fence you realize how different Light changed. He would’ve lived a normal life in normal world, but he picked up the Death Note and changed into a notorious person hellbent on changing the world to a better place as if it was un-inhabitable. As Ryuk said “Those who use the Death Note experience nothing but sorrow and dread.” He was right, Light was cool, calm and cunning, he soon changed into a menacingly psycho, something Light would once had feared to be.

I thought this ending was fitting for the series. Light panicked, it wasn’t his mistake that ruined him and he didn’t know how to deal with it.

I’m also surprised no one commented on what Ryuuk said at the end about this whole thing just killing some boredom. I thought that summed up the whole series too. It was all his idea after all, and all that, just because he was bored.

That was very, VERY pathetic of Light. You see, the one thing that destined him to failure from the start, was that he thought he was smarter than everyone else. If you want to win at anything, you have to accept that there is always someone smarter, stronger, etc etc.
But then again, if had had the Death Note, I would do alot of the same things as Light. Only difference is that I wouldn’t get caught.
